Web Design

A website built for your business,
not off a template

We design and build fast, mobile-first websites that look right, load quickly and are structured so Google can actually understand them. Fixed price agreed up front, and you own the lot.

What's included

Everything below is standard

Not a premium tier, not an add-on at checkout. If a website needs it to work properly, it's in the price.

Custom design

No themes, no page builders, no template you'll spot on three other local businesses. The layout is drawn around what your business needs to say and who it needs to say it to.

Built for speed

Hand-written HTML and CSS, self-hosted fonts, compressed images and next to no JavaScript. Fast sites rank better and convert better, and speed is far cheaper to build in than to retrofit.

Mobile first

Most of your visitors are on a phone, so that's where the design starts rather than where it gets squeezed in at the end. Everything is tested on real screen sizes.

SEO foundations

Clean heading structure, proper metadata, schema markup, an XML sitemap and sensible URLs — all part of the build, not an upsell after launch.

Accessible by default

Readable contrast, keyboard navigation, visible focus states and correct labelling. It widens your audience and it's increasingly a legal expectation.

You own it

The site, the domain, the hosting account and the code are yours. No proprietary platform, no licence that stops when you stop paying, no hostage situation.

Project sizes

Three shapes most projects take

Every project is quoted individually against what you actually need. These are the sizes jobs usually land on, with the timescales that go with them.

Landing page

One page

Typically 2–5 days

A single, focused page for one service or campaign. Everything above the fold works hard to get an enquiry.

  • One page
  • Contact form
  • SEO foundations
  • Google Analytics

Larger site

10–25 pages

Typically 4–8 weeks

More services, more locations, or a blog you'll publish to regularly. Built to grow without a rebuild.

  • Blog setup
  • Advanced schema
  • Content structure planning
  • Multi-location support

Need e-commerce or something more involved? That's a different scale of job — get in touch and we'll talk it through.

How it works

Four steps, no mystery

  1. 01

    Discovery call

We talk about your business, your customers and what the site actually has to achieve. You get a written plan and a fixed price before any work starts.

  2. 02

    Design

You see the design for the key pages and we refine it together. Nothing gets built until you're happy with how it looks.

  3. 03

    Build & test

We build it properly, then test across devices and browsers, check speed and accessibility, and set up analytics with a compliant cookie banner.

  4. 04

    Launch & handover

We take it live, submit it to Google, and walk you through running it. Then we stay available for changes and support.

Questions

Web design questions

How much does a website cost?

Every business is different, and your website should be built around what you need — not a one-size-fits-all package.

We take the time to understand your business, your goals and what you want your website to achieve. From there, we’ll recommend the best approach for you and explain everything clearly, so you know exactly what you’re getting and why.

Our aim isn’t simply to build you a website — it’s to create something that works for your business, helps your customers and supports your growth.

How long will it take?

A one-page site typically takes 2–5 days. A 5–10 page small business site takes 2–4 weeks, and a 10–25 page site 4–8 weeks. E-commerce runs 6–12 weeks. The main variable is usually how quickly content and photos come back to us.

Do I own the website when it's finished?

Yes, completely. The code, the domain and the hosting account are all in your name. There's no proprietary platform holding it together, so you're free to take it elsewhere at any point — though we'd rather you didn't need to.

Can you redesign my existing site instead of starting over?

Often, yes. We'll look at what you have and tell you honestly whether it's better to improve it or rebuild it. If your current site is on a platform that's fighting you, rebuilding is sometimes cheaper than working around it.

Do you write the content?

We'll structure it, edit it and tell you what each page needs to say. Most clients supply the raw detail about their services and we shape it into copy that reads well and targets the right search terms.

What happens after the site launches?

We walk you through running it, then stay available for updates and changes. If you'd like us to handle hosting, maintenance and ongoing SEO, there's a combined monthly plan for that — but it's optional, not a condition of the build.

Ready for a website that pulls its weight?

Tell us about your business and we'll come back with a fixed price and a realistic timescale. No obligation, no sales pressure.
